Gelrust activates and changes to a purple color, to remove this use Lantania's sealer stripper 2151.

Designed for vertical surfaces such as backsplashes where multiple applications are necessary to remove deep rust stains.

Compatible Stone:

Marble, granite, quartzite, travertine, granite. All natural stone.

Unlike thin liquids that run off as soon as they hit the surface, GELRUST uses a thick gel formula that stays where you put it. This makes it especially effective on vertical and inclined surfaces - shower walls, stair risers, façades, outdoor features or any area where rust streaks appear from metal fixtures or water runoff.

Fast-acting, visible working action – Apply an even layer over the stain, leave it to act (around 10 minutes), and rinse thoroughly with clean water; the product changes color (violet/purple) while it is reacting, and treatment can be repeated for stubborn spots.

How to Use

Prepare the surface

Brush or wipe away loose dust and debris.
Ensure the area is dry so the gel can adhere properly.

Apply GELRUST

Spread a uniform layer directly over the rust stain, covering it slightly beyond the edge.
Leave it in place for around 15 minutes (check regularly).

Rinse & repeat if needed

Rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water until all residue is removed.
For persistent or deep stains, the treatment can be repeated. During use, the gel may turn violet while it reacts with the rust, which is normal.

Aftercare

Once the surface is dry, consider applying a suitable stone sealer or water/oil repellent to help reduce future staining, especially on porous stones (e.g., products like HIDROBRAVO or TWINS.TW in Lantania’s system).
